A poetry anthology investigating the hauntology of otherness and reclaiming what it means to belong, Migrant Voices in Horror is the second print publication of Bloodletter Magazine. Showcasing the contemporary work of thirteen first- and second-generation migrant poets and artists identifying as women, trans, and/or nonbinary, this collection illuminates the inherited, institutionalized, and embodied legacies of migration through the lens of horror.

Contributions by Angela Giaimo, Raven Jiang, Nasma Kublawi, Jenan Marcela, Hena Mustafa, Idman Omar, Michelle Perez, Elena Sichrovsky, Ailin Sha, Andie Sheridan, Kristina Ten, Vriddhi Vinay, and Joely Williams, with foreword by Bianca Alyssa Pérez.

“Migrant Voices in Horror announces a chorus of voices that refuse erasure, refuse simplification, and refuse to surrender creation in the face of violence. These writers remind us that horror is not merely a genre of darkness. It is also a genre of bright revelation. By illuminating what society attempts to hide, it allows us to confront both the ghosts behind us and the futures still waiting to be imagined.” – Bianca Alyssa Pérez, Guest Editor
